The 14 program tracks are made up of 11 foundation tracks, one virtual track tailored to Chief Audit Executives (CAEs), and two vendor sessions. The CAE track is comprised of selected sessions from the 11 foundation tracks; it is focused on the needs and interests of the CAE and senior manager. The two vendor sessions will highlight offerings from conference sponsors but will not provide CPE credit.
The program committee has a specific goal to appropriately reflect diversity in the mix of conference speakers. This includes a strong commitment to ensure that at least 20% of the speakers come from outside North America.
Headline speakers who have committed at this early date include Jim Collins, Author of Good to Great and Built to Last; Sharon Allen, Chairman, Board of Directors, Deloitte; Linda Bardo Nicholls, President, Australian Institute of Company Directors; Gene L. Dodaro, Chief Operating Officer of the United States Government Accountability Office; Paul Sarbanes, Senator; and Kevin "The Katalyst" Carroll.
Numerous pre and post sessions will also be offered, providing opportunities for intensive discussion among industry special interest groups or for in–depth focus on specific emerging issues. All the information regarding the Pre and Post Conference Sessions, including CPE Credit and NASBA fields, will be posted on a new "Pre/post sessions" page on April 15th. If you have any questions about the sessions, you can send an email to info@iia2008sf.org.
